131211How to play F7
The usual F7 shape is a barre chord: your index finger presses fret 1 across several strings (131211). Barre chords take practice, so start by getting each string to ring clearly before worrying about speed.
Bluesy and restless. A dominant 7th wants to resolve to the chord a fourth above it.

Questions
What notes are in the F7 chord?
F7 contains F, A, C and Eb. Its formula is 1–3–5–b7.
Is F7 hard to play on guitar?
It is harder than a basic open chord. The most common shape is 131211. A shortcut: put a capo on fret 1 and play an open E7 shape.
What can I play instead of F7?
F is the closest simpler chord. It keeps the same root and basic character, so it works when F7 is too hard or too busy.
